Captain Mike has spent his life on the water, most of it with a fishing rod in hand. He grew up in South Florida where he could be found fishing from the beaches or piers, in the canals and Intracoastal, off shore or in the Bahamas. When he became a “Florida Gator” he added inland lakes, rivers, creeks and roommates’ aquariums to his list of favorite fishing spots!

After graduating from UF with a BBA in 1973, he decided fishing was the business for him! After working on the Charter Boat Dock in Ft. Lauderdale he became a USCG Licensed Boat Captain, and spent the next 30 plus years running and maintaining private pleasure and tournament sport fishing boats from Cape Cod to San Salvador and all over the Gulf of Mexico. For a few years Mike was also a Bass Guide taking customers out on his “Life Of Riley” to catch the lunkers in Lake Okeechobee!

When Mike is not out on the water, he is in his workshop building or customizing boats! He has built five over the years, and recently finished restoring his 1964 25' Bertram, Plain Jane. Now he can get way off shore again to bring those Wahoos home for dinner!
